You will need a WiFi router with port forwarding feature (most routers do these days) and if you don't have a static IP (or if you don't know what this is), you will need to use a free service called DynDNS. We will be happy to ship it to you but there might be technical areas that are not documented enough/at all. If you are willing to get your hands dirty (we love it) you will find the forums your best way to find solutions from other members.
HestiaPi uses standard Internet technologies so it will work on most modern phones. It does not need Flash so iPhones and Android devices are covered.
It usually takes 2-3 seconds to toggle the relay from the press of the button over a standard internet connection.
